LOS ANGELES - Flush from the initial box-office success of "Scooby-Doo," the Warner Bros. film studio is planning a sequel to its feature version of the vintage cartoon TV series about four teenage detectives and their talking dog.Cast members Freddie Prinze Jr., (Fred), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne), Matthew Lillard (Shaggy) and Linda Cardellini (Velma) will all return with their animated four-footed co-star for a new Scooby-Doo adventure slated for release in 2004, the studio said on Thursday."Scooby-Doo" debuted at No. 1 at the North American box office last weekend with a surprisingly hefty $54 million in ticket sales, marking the biggest June movie opening in history. Production on the sequel will likely begin early next year, with Raja Gosnell expected to return as director and the original screenwriter, James Gunn, penning the new script. The films are based on the popular Hanna-Barbera television cartoon series "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" that debuted in 1969 and followed the exploits of four young sleuths and their Great Dane.
