Eagles reach terms with lineman Herremans
2006-12-31
The Philadelphia Eagles made another move to lock up the long-term services of one of their young players when they agreed on a contract extension with Todd Herremans. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the extension keeps the offensive lineman in Philadelphia through the 2013 National Football League season. Herremans, 24, is the fourth member of the Eagles' 2005 draft class to sign an extension this season, joining defensive tackle Mike Patterson (signed through 2016), wide receiver Reggie Brown (signed through 2014) and defensive end Trent Cole (signed through 2013). A fourth-round pick, Herremans has started 15 games at left guard this season for the Eagles (9-6), who could win their fifth NFC East title in the last six campaigns with a win over Atlanta on Sunday.
