Shanahan's overtime goal fires Rangers

Brendan Shanahan's overtime goal sparked the New York Rangers to a 4-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday, their third straight win. Chris Drury sent the game into overtime with a third-period goal before assisting on Shanahan's winner. Drury slid a centering pass into the slot and Shanahan sent a hard high shot past Montreal netminder Cristobal Huet. Dan Girardi and Jaromir Jagr also scored for New York. Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist made 18 saves for the victory. * Dustin Brown scored his second goal 3:31 into overtime and the Los Angeles Kings overcame a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 road victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, who had a four-game win streak snapped. * Derian Hatcher scored the game's only goal as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Florida Panthers 1-0 behind Antero Niittymaki's first shutout of the season. Niittymaki stopped 38 shots for the win. * Matt Cooke's second-period goal paced the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 home victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
